The Fabulous Meet Ups in June and July 2016
In June the Hitchin Babblers met with Kasia Burke who showcased her photographic talents and discussed how photographs and images can boost your business, with helpful examples and hints and tips. This was a well received and enjoyable session which left many Babblers feeling snap happy! In July Royston met with Kirsten Grimmer from Creative Royston. Kirsten has many years of PR experience and showed the Babblers step by step how to draft and edit a press release to ensure it has the best chance of getting published. Press releases and media alerts are fantastic ways of getting your business seen in the media and a way of getting free advertising!
In July Hitchin also met for a session on speaking with confidence with Sandra Dawes who asked "Why bother with public speaking when it is so scary?" Because it is the number one, most important way to promote your business effectively. Sandra presented an interactive talk with useful hints and tips to overcome not only the mental blocks to public speaking, but the physical ones too. This proved to be such a popular session that we are working on securing a Royston date for 2017!
