HITCHIN – Data Protection Regulation Changes – Are You Ready?
Tuesday September 19th 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Whether you’re a one-woman band or a small business employing staff, one of the most difficult things in business is keeping on top of changes in legislation! Are you aware of the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that come into force in May 2018?
It’s essential that you understand how to obtain, use and keep personal data for staff, clients, customers and suppliers within the legal frameworks. The new legislation will have a big impact on this.
To help you understand and be ready for the changes, Business Babble’s session on 19th September will be looking at the new regulations coming into force next year and covering:
- The principles of processing personal data
- Your obligations, along with those who you sub-contract with
- Security and reporting of data breaches
- How individuals’ rights can impact on your business
Miss it and you’ll be missing out on this vitally informative session!
Meet at the bar and grab a glass of vino (or share a bottle!), a soft drink or whatever your tipple/brew is and have a natter with other Babblers at 7.30pm before we start at 8pm.

8.00pm: Session starts.
10.00pm: Post-babbling informal networking or home to ponder what was discussed!
